Cupid's Mystery Box

I love a good surprise! And Julep Mystery Boxes are always a good one.

I purchased one Cupid's Mystery Box using a deal from Bloomspot -- I also picked up some items in the February Maven Secret Store to use the whole certificate in one shot, as required by the deal. My other items have yet to arrive.

I saw some reveals on Facebook, both Julep's page and various groups, and started to get a little worried. I did an add-on to my Maven box this month to get Morgan, a really great deep purple. Then, one was in a box I ordered from the secret store...two Morgans? It's a cool color, but I don't need two!

But Morgan started popping up in lots of the Cupid boxes too. Oh no! THREE MORGANS?

Morgan for trade!

I forgot to mention that after my mystery box and my secret store shipment, plus the bottle I bought originally, I will have THREE bottles of Julep Morgan.

It's a great color, but I don't need three of them. If anyone is willing to trade, I'll swap for pretty much any color. All of mine are brand new and sealed.

You can check out the color here: Morgan

Please feel free to comment or shoot me an email if you're interested.

Julep Maven February Wardrobe

This month, I upgraded to the full wardrobe. I was looking at spending near the same amount to add-on colors, so it just seemed like a better idea. This is the first time I upgraded.

It took a little while longer to arrive -- because of the additional weight of the box seems to be the consensus on the Julep Facebook page.

But it arrived, perfectly packaged as always.

Julep Review -- Julia

I'm still eagerly awaiting my February Maven box.

I upgraded to the full wardrobe, and it seems from the buzz on Julep's Facebook page that I'm not the only one still waiting.

In the mean time, my add on colors have arrived.

I got the three pack including: Julia, Morgan, and Jennifer.

I honestly bought the pack mostly for Morgan. I think the color is amazing. I was soooo excited to try it, that I forgot about the Super Bowl.

I'm a Steelers fan. It hasn't been a great season, and I certainly couldn't deck my nails out in Ravens colors this Sunday, so I opted for Julia, another more subtle purple instead.

The Julep website describes Julia as "Purple orchid with golden micro-glitter metallic."

The results are stunning.

Hi there!

"Please allow me to introduce myself..."

I'm Emily. I'm 24 and I'm a full time graduate student at a public university in Pennsylvania. In a little over a year, I plan to be a real, fully functional adult with a "grown-up job," so I've decided to use this year to really polish myself professionally and personally.

I love makeup and nail polish, but I'm generally really bad about being consistent in using either. This blog will partially help me fulfill my New Year's resolutions to maintain my nails and my skin.

Currently, I'm a Julep Maven, and I don't think I've been let down by this awesome company yet.

I hope to provide useful reviews and tips for all aspects of beauty products. I hope what I share can be helpful to you.
